Do the people who fill out my survey need an account?
No. Just send them your survey link or QR code. No sign-up, no app to download, nothing to install.
Who can see my survey responses?
Only you, as the survey owner. Respondents never need an account, and results are not visible to anyone else. Add a password (pay-per-survey or Pro) to control who can even open the survey to respond. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data on our end.
What does 'limit to one response per browser' do?
It's a free, optional setting you can turn on for any survey, under Advanced settings on the edit page. Once enabled, we set a cookie the first time someone submits, and a second attempt from that same browser is blocked with an 'already responded' message. It's a deterrent, not a guarantee: clearing cookies, an incognito window, or a different device all get around it.
Can I export my survey responses?
Yes, on every plan. Download all your responses as CSV or Excel at any time from the results page. Numeric answers like NPS, CSAT, and scale scores export as real numbers, not text.
How is SurveyService different from SurveyMonkey?
The core difference is that AI analysis is built in, not bolted on: every plan, free included, gets an automatic executive summary, key findings, sentiment analysis, and recommended actions from your responses. Pricing works differently too. Alongside a monthly Pro plan, you can unlock a single survey for a one-time $10 payment instead of a subscription. SurveyMonkey is still the better fit if you need advanced branching logic or a larger integration ecosystem.
How is SurveyService different from Google Forms?
Google Forms is free with no cap on responses, and it's hard to beat for pure data collection into a Sheet you already use. What it doesn't have is written analysis: no executive summary, no sentiment analysis, no recommended actions, just raw per-question charts. SurveyService generates that automatically on every plan, free included, and adds question types built for feedback specifically, like NPS and CSAT with the score calculated for you.
What languages does the AI summary support?
Any language. It follows the language of your survey's own questions, so a French survey gets a French summary.
How many times can I regenerate the AI summary?
Up to 5 times per survey on Free, 10 on a pay-per-survey unlock, and 20 on Pro. Each regeneration reflects your latest responses, so you can refresh it as new answers come in.
Does the AI summary suggest what to do next?
Yes. Every summary includes 3-5 recommended actions, and each one links back to the specific key finding it's based on, so you can see why it's suggesting that, not just take it on faith. Included on every plan, free included.

What counts as a survey unlock?
A $10 unlock applies to one specific survey and raises its limits to 100 questions and 1,000 respondents, permanently. It is a one-time payment for that survey; other surveys stay on your current plan.
Which question types are included on each plan?
Six of the seven question types (NPS, CSAT, free text, multiple choice, checkboxes, and scale/Likert) are included on every plan, free included. Matrix questions (rating several items against the same scale) are the one type reserved for pay-per-survey and Pro.
Does my survey show 'Powered by SurveyService' branding?
Free and pay-per-survey surveys both keep the footer. Removing it is a Pro-only benefit.
Should I get pay-per-survey or Pro?
If you unlock 3 or more surveys in a typical month, Pro's flat $30 costs the same or less than paying $10 each time. Pro also raises the ceiling to 200 questions and 2,000 respondents, adds Portfolio Insights across your surveys, and removes SurveyService branding. For occasional use, a single $10 unlock is cheaper and never expires.
What happens when a survey reaches its respondent limit?
It stops accepting new responses at your plan's collection ceiling (1,000 on Free and a pay-per-survey unlock, 2,000 on Pro) and is marked as closed, with everything you already collected intact. On the free plan, only your first 50 of those show up in your results, charts, and export; unlocking or upgrading to Pro reveals everything you already collected beyond that.
Can I cancel Pro anytime?
Yes. Go to Settings → Billing → Manage subscription to cancel yourself, no email needed. You keep Pro access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
What happens to my responses if I downgrade?
All your data is safe. You just lose access to premium features. Your existing responses and summaries stay intact.
Is payment secure?
Yes. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never store your card details.
Can SurveyService see my survey data?
Your results are visible in the app only to you. SurveyService staff don't browse your response data; our access to production systems is limited to what's needed to operate and support the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
